JAMB 2024 UTME Results Released: Rescheduled Exams for 24,535 Candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of 3,921 outstanding results for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). In a recent statement, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin also revealed that a rescheduled examination will be held for 24,535 candidates on June 22, 2024. This decision follows an analysis of the previous examination process, which identified substantial non-compliance with JAMB standards in certain centers.

Candidates affected by the rescheduling are advised to print their supplementary Examination Notification Slip starting from June 4, 2024, to confirm their designated examination centers. This release brings the total number of released results to 1,883,350. To check their results, candidates can send the word "RESULT" to either 55019 or 66019.

Additionally, JAMB has arranged a special registration exercise for 3,633 prospective candidates for the Kwara State University (KWASU) diploma program, who initially did not participate in the 2024 UTME. These candidates, along with others from Oyo and Osun states, are required to register at any approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers by June 10, 2024. Out of this group, 469 candidates who have already taken the 2024 UTME do not need to retake the examination.

This concession aims to uphold standards while supporting and promoting the aspirations of qualified candidates. The rescheduled June 22 examination will also accommodate 20,550 candidates whose results are still under investigation, and 2,702 candidates whose biometric verification failed, allowing them another opportunity to sit for the 2024 UTME.

Further, JAMB announced that 322 candidates have been categorized under examination misconduct, having registered but not appeared for the examination themselves. These candidates will face further interrogation to determine their culpability, after which appropriate measures will be taken.

In response to high demand and numerous requests from stakeholders, JAMB has extended the Direct Entry registration deadline to June 17, 2024. The board has expanded registration points beyond the Professional Registration Centres in states experiencing high demand, including Lagos, Oyo, Kwara, and Osun. Specific centers listed include JAMB PRCs in Lagos at Ojora Road, Ikoyi, and Isheri Road, Ogba, among others.

JAMB urges all eligible candidates to take advantage of this registration extension as no further extensions will be granted. This effort is part of JAMB's commitment to accommodating the increasing number of prospective Direct Entry candidates while maintaining examination integrity and standards.
